We have a huge immigration problem here and the government is completely failing in protecting us on the borders.

Our hope is that the rallies will get the federal government to pass comprehensive immigration reform to provide secure borders, and by providing secure borders, it allows for portals for immigration into this country.

The first thing you've got to realize is the federal government has created this problem by not permitting their alleged immigration policies to be enforced at the borders.

This program is not about immigration. The program is about whether the situation along both our borders — northern and southern — and our coasts, if it poses a problem in our war on terrorism … It's a very important topic for America right now.

My concern would be, is the government in the travel business or the business of protecting our borders?

We're pretty disappointed. It's completely shortsighted and completely negligent in terms of the Park Service mission. They're failing. They're completely derelict in their duties.

There's no question that the federal government is failing to do the job. It's going to take some courageous leadership to deal realistically with the scope of the problem.

There is a huge societal problem. People aren't finding the right matches. Marriages are failing. In some sense, we have a chance to change that.

The first consideration in immigration is the welfare of the receiving nation. In a new government based on principles unfamiliar to the rest of the world and resting on the sentiments of the people themselves, the influx of a large number of new immigrants unaccustomed to the government of a free society could be detrimental to that society. Immigration, therefore, must be approached carefully and cautiously.
