en It's just one tough one right after another. But when you go head to head with the top teams in the state and are a play away from winning, that's not a fluke. We played with (St. X) and had our chances. Hopefully we'll take that into this week -- but this week finish.

en We played hard, we played tough. We had our chances. I thought I did some good things, but we didn't get the win. We definitely played better than we did last week. That's all we want to do – get better every week. I thought we took some good strides this week. It's a tough loss but we have to keep going.

en It was exam week and the kids didn't play all week until Friday. It's a tough week when you take exams every day, then have to play. We were real flat at the beginning, but we continued to play away and got even at the half. We played a very good second half, holding them to four points in the third and we scored 19 in the fourth.

en Last week, we didn't really care what anybody said about us, ... We don't really care this week. We know what we have to do this week to keep it going. What we care about is winning and losing, and staying together as a team, and trying to play the kind of sound, solid, tough, aggressive football that we like to think is our trademark.

en Look at Washington: They were so dominant two weeks ago and then they struggled last week. You have to be ready every week. Hopefully, we can be one of the better teams in the N.F.L. en Having a week off has been good for him. He went through all the drills last week, but we held him out of contact. We have to have him healthy to make a (state title) run. We can't have him play a week, rest a week and then play. He needs to be there for us to be the best team we can be.

en This week is our biggest week in our history here at Missouri Southern. It just goes to show you how tough this conference is. It doesn't matter who you play or where you play, they're all quality teams.

en I don't mind (playing head-to-head). Usually, when you play the other team's top lines, there are more chances going the other way, too. That's fine with me.

en I messed up. That's what we practiced all this week. My head just wasn't into it, it was a matter of not keeping my head in the game.

en He had a lot of drops today. I don't know what it was. Maybe Joey got in his head. His game plan all week was to try to get in Stevens' head and I think he might have done that.

en All week, everybody has been comparing us. That's all I hear about. I guess this is kind of the head-to-head challenge to see who can do better.

en The only thing is to keep winning. That alone, we did all we can do. Yeah, we're depending on other teams, but hey, we've got to keep winning, starting with this week, which is going to be tough.
