I told him to watch out, ... Everyone is concerned about their kids at this time of year.

Looking at what the kids have done this year, and based upon what we've seen, we're pretty hopeful. Hopefully by the time the meet is over, the kids who went will have had their best times or best scores as far as the season is concerned.

My gut instinct told me that they kind of had something under their hat and they were going to make a good announcement (Wednesday). I was surprised it was called off. ... I didn't have a clock, or a watch, or anything that told me what time it was. And there was no TV. Just me and the cell. The guards came by and told me what happened. I thought they were exaggerating. I got out in the afternoon and saw it on TV, the planes hitting the towers. I couldn't believe it could happen in this country.

I told the kids that the game would be different than practice. I was concerned because there's always an uh-oh period when you haven't played in a while. They had more energy than us at first.

It's not the same today as when I was growing up and parents left their kids in front of the TV to watch 'Captain Kangaroo,' ... The sex depicted on television does have an effect on kids.
