We may not be as deep as we were last season but we have some athletic kids that should fill our holes, ... Injuries could be a problem but you can say that about any team.

Any coach that graduated 11 kids isn't going to tell you they are ready to win the whole thing. If they do, they are crazy. We had a ton of holes to fill. We lost a lot of good players. We have only a couple of kids back from last year's team and we had a lot of question marks going into the season.

We have some holes to fill, but we had kids who learned how to play basketball at the varsity level and that will help us next season.

I told the guys I wanted to win one big meet this season and they saved their best for last. It's taken us a while to fill some holes and come together as a team and I think this shows we're finally getting there.

Clarence Williams (1898-)

It's going to be a hard-fought and physical game. They are very athletic and very deep and are starting to jell. Bobby's had some injuries, but they're starting to become the team I expected, which is the top three or four in our conference.

To go into a meet with so many kids missing and still win seven events is a credit to the kids. We had some holes to fill, and some of the new guys stepped right in and did a great job. The kids on the track really came through for us.

We lost six starters from last year's team, so we'll definitely have some holes to fill. But, the good news is we do have a nice, small nucleus of kids coming back.

Chuck Schoolcraft

We had a rough season with injuries and do not have a deep bench. We used seven players all year. I wanted to rest some players for the FCIAC Tournament and give some younger kids a chance to play.

We have Russell County here for Senior Night Tuesday, and we'll hopefully hit and play defense the way we did today. We've got games against good teams after that as we're trying to get ready for the playoffs, so we'll hopefully have some guys step up and fill the holes that have been left because of injuries.

I said before the season that I think we should be a playoff team. I don't think a lot of people felt that way outside of our organization. We aren't [deep] enough to have people out [with injuries] as long as we did, but I don't like to use that as an excuse. I still think we should be a little better than what we've been.

We had about 14 new players come out this year. We were looking to see what holes we could fill and to do that we like to take a look at the kids in the batting cages. We can do a lot in the gym to prepare.

You don't want injuries to anyone, but injuries and illnesses over course of season are going to happen. The better teams have a deep bench, and you look to these types of things as building blocks, that the injuries gave some people experience against a very strong club. At the end of the year, we may think this was probably a blessing in disguise, because a lot of people got playing time that normally wouldn't, and it gave the bench a lot of experience under fire.

We're a veteran team and we were able to pick up some athletic kids due to soccer moving to the fall. Hopefully, that will take us to a great season.

We have other holes to fill on this team. We didn't want to add to them.

It was nice to see Curt and Matt try new strategies and better court position. Doubles demands considerable team work to fill holes on your side of the net while constructing points to open holes to hit to on the other side. Joe Monroe fought in his match but Nathan Beckley wore him down. Our loss was a disappointment for all. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. It was nice to see Curt and Matt try new strategies and better court position.
