I just wanted to beat him so bad. I never looked at the scoreboard. I was told not to look at the scoreboard and just go out and wrestle. I thought I was up. ... Still I won a silver medal but now I'll always think of what might have been.

I told our guys we were looking for effort and execution and that would find out where we are. Obviously we would like to win on the scoreboard, but really we just wanted to get out there against somebody else.

I told the guys that I wouldn't be looking at the scoreboard tonight. I was more interested in measuring how hard and how smart we played.

It's tough, going without guys like that in your lineup. But we battled. ... The bottom line, and what I told our team was, you look up at the scoreboard and there's five runs (Oklahoma) shouldn't have had.

Any win is important now. Philly's playing real well. Their score was posted on the scoreboard before our game. We knew we had a chance to gain a game. That's two off the magic number [to clinch], whatever it is.

Any win is important nowadays. Obviously, Philly has been playing well and their score was posted on the scoreboard before we started. They lost and we knew we had a golden opportunity to gain a game. We went out and did it. So it's two more off the magic number, whatever it is. Write down the most important things you have to do tomorrow. Now, number them in the order of their true importance. The first thing tomorrow morning, start working on an item Number 1, and stay with it until completed. Then take item Number 2 the same way. Then Number 3, and so on. Don't worry if you don't complete everything on the schedule. At least you will have completed the most important projects before getting to the less important ones.

I think it was more important to talk to the other guys first, and I told them that. But they didn't care what else I said. If I would've told them to wash my car, they would've done it.

I told the guys tomorrow is our most important practice and Friday is our most important game.

It's very important. From the beginning of the season, I always told the media and the young guys understood this that it is up to us to teach these guys how to do it. Don't even worry about it. We're going to get our wins and we're going to make sure that these younger guys understand that we can build a legacy here and that it's not going to stop with just this season.
