en For us to get into it, we have to find ways to win games like today. That's the biggest thing for me. Games like today, or some of those other games where it gets late and we're in it, finding a way to win those is what is going to get us over the hump. We have to get that going. Hopefully throughout the season, we'll win those close games.

en It was always a close match, but Pierre could just never get over the hump. I hope Terrell doesn't get over the hump because he always worries me. He's an outstanding wrestler in my opinion, he just can't seem to get over the hump.

en We haven't had too many of these games lately. Carlos comes out right from the get-go with a home run, and it seemed to kind of snowball from there.

en This is like six or seven other games that we have had this year. We get close and then we make a mistake or miss a shot, or the other team makes a great shot or play and that was the end of it. I feel bad for the kids. They are working their tails off; they just can't get over the hump. I wouldn't trade my kids for anybody. They practice hard, they play hard. They do what I ask. We just can't get over the hump.

en This is a fun team to be on and games like this make everything more fun. Hitting is definitely something that's contagious, and the hits just started to snowball tonight.

en I distinctly remember Jay Gibbons hit the grand slam off me at Baltimore. I think I ended up giving up nine runs in that game. It was just a nightmare game for me. That was a good example of the snowball effect. If things go bad in the first inning, I don't want it to snowball it even more.
