en We worked real hard, and we were able to control territory. But we just kind of got ourselves in trouble at the end of shifts. Some would know what it was, but maybe half didn't. But everyone knows about the Olympics. They're really like the X Games for the world!

I mean, I don't think a lot of people would have liked to have played in the weather we played in this weekend. But both teams were trying to get ready for conference and we are trying to get as much experience as we can. You just can't control certain things.

When you get in those kind of games where everything just kind of seems to snowball out of control, it's important that you don't lose focus and start pointing fingers. ... en So when you have all that attention focused on one guy, then the other guys have to step up around him and a day like [Sunday] when they're doing that [to Moss], for me to come away with one catch is extremely frustrating. But a lot of things are out of my control. This is something we have to capitalize off of as an offense. If they're going to come in and take Santana away, then everybody around him has got to step up and get things done.

en A lot of the games I've watched over the years, the unnoticed things
are that 3rd-and-7 play where there's bracket coverage and everyone was tied up,
and that quarterback ran for a first down and changed the momentum of the game.
So we don't discount the importance of that, but you have to do things in
progression. I just think Troy needs to be a little bit better from his
progression standpoint.


en I don't listen to negative things from people that don't understand the game. When I hear positive things, it shows people that know football are really paying attention.

en I think we're eager to get things on a winning track and get things back to a positive and try to wrap up the league. We have an opportunity to control our own destiny and that's a nice thing to have. Often times teams have to rely on others and we don't have to. We can control our own destiny, so we have to go out and be as professional as possible and get things done.

en When you're down to 20 games left, it's hugely important. Knowing we still have control of things with the last three games against these guys, we just have to work very hard between now and then so those games will be significant.

en Those kind of things happen in football. They are blows to your team. But we've just got to go forward and then make things go with exactly who is there.
