About half the time we played well. The other half, Elk Grove put the pressure on us. Both teams were unhappy to tie, but both teams played well at times.

We've had problems putting away teams in the second half. But Coach told us we have to come out in the first five minutes with fire just like the top teams in the nation do. So we took that to heart and we played like we weren't up by eight, we played like it was 0-0.

In the first half we played very well, we moved the ball and played as a team. In the second half we were very selfish, everyone was trying to dribble through double teams and we had a ton of turnovers.

At times, our defense was tremendous. We gave them eight easy points in the first half. I told the players at halftime, 'championship teams don't do that.' We played better defense in the second half. It dictated the outcome.

We've played some pretty good ballgames against numerous teams for a half, 30 or 38 minutes of a game. We know we can play with these teams. Tonight, we came in prepared like we did in other games, but this time, we carried it out.

This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did. I don't there's a lot of pressure on her. She was a keeper in our youth program and she's played on our travel teams in the summers. I like the way that she prepares herself when the ball crosses into our half.

The first half we just couldn't get much going. Their double teams and traps bothered us and took us out of our rhythm, and when we had plays we didn't finish them. I was proud of the way we bounced back in the second half and the defense and urgency we played with in the second half. We just couldn't quite get over the hump.

I think we kind of played lackadaisical in the second half. I think both teams had trouble scoring. Most of our offense in the first half came from our defense.

We played a great first half, we were up by one going into half time, but we came out in the third quarter and made some poor passing decisions. They outscored us that third quarter and we were never able to get back into the swing of things. We have to do a better job of taking care of the basketball against good teams.

We played better in the second half. But I told the guys that you can't wait that long to play against Anthony's teams. They just whipped us in the first half.
