en Clearly I wish we were going out there with three first-team, all-league guards -- but that's not the case. The guard situation is something we can work on. It's not going to be a secret to us, or to anyone who plays us. We just have to make up for it with hopefully good coaching.

en Glenn, Kyle and Eddie (Miller) are our three veteran guards and they're all playmakers. If you put the ball in their hands, they make coaching a lot easier. They make plays for themselves and others. And Glenn, he has the ability to be as good as any guard in our league, and I truly believe that.

en Come the fourth quarter, we buckled down and got the stop and made some good plays offensively. Earl, I don't want to call him a backup point guard because he's just as good as many guards in this league.

en I think the big men get overlooked a little because we have so many good guards in the league. Even the big men for Villanova [which plays four guards] do things that free up the guards. I wouldn't sell the big guys short.

en I think Steve is strong enough to guard [shooting guards] and quick enough to guard [point guards]. And he's got grit. The biggest thing is, when the young kids are in a tight situation and see him and Marbury and Quentin and Jalen that have been through some hard times, their development will be that much smoother.

en Tobias and Julius do a good job against the guards, and they give us a chance to win. Julius will usually plays the top guard from the other team. When it comes to crunch time, he doesn't let him score.

en Normally, the guy you guard plays the same position, but Marquis can really guard almost anybody. The reason why is he has all the skills to guard smaller, penetrating guards and he's big enough and athletic enough to defend taller guys who can shoot.

en This is one of the best games we played all year. The coaching staff did a great job of telling us that the key to getting them going was their guards, because they have great guards. We wanted to come out and make them take tough shots, tough plays.

en Coach Hill did a good job working with not just me, all our guards. The summer when I got here he showed me little things he did with (former Seton Hall guard) Andre Barrett to make him one of the best guards in the Big East.

en Athletes make plays and they made plays. They are a very, very good football team. They're too good for our league.

en Their two guards could start for anybody in our league. We're going to have to do a very good job of making our team concerned with where they are, what set they're in, who is setting the screen and what we're going to do to disrupt them, because the other three players really rely on those two guards playing well.

en She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated. One of the reasons she was voted unanimous all league is because as a setter she was such a pivotal part of what we did. She has to make adjustments to all the hitters plus make the plays, plus make the plays she needs to and she did a good job doing those things without getting rattled. She had to make all those split-second decisions and she did a good job with that.

en New England's a good team. Definitely. They've got good players and a good scheme. We did make some plays but you can't get into a third-and-35 situation [as Green Bay did at one point]. Throwing the ball to the other team isn't going to get it done, either.

en They're tough to guard. That's why that team is a good team. They have guards who post up and big men who step out. They run a lot of good stuff.
