We're talking about some big global players here, so that's what driving the speculation behind the rest of the sector. Steel stocks have been gaining a small amount of momentum back after a poor run the past few months, and this is the kind of thing that could prompt some managers to have another look.

We remain very positive on the home improvement sector and Home Depot's prospects, particularly given current valuation levels. Home Depot shares are currently trading in line with the five-year historic low forward price-to-earnings ratio, based on consensus estimates.

IBM ( IBM : Research , Estimates ) is a very well-managed company, it looks to us like the shares have made a bottom, that the short-term trend is improving, that momentum is improving.
