The coaches really emphasized ordsprog

en The coaches really emphasized ball disruption drills this week in practice. We focused on causing turnovers and converting them to touchdowns. The second or third guy in on a tackle should be going for the football.

en We stressed all week long that we've got to help our offense out and help ourselves out by causing turnovers. The first guy makes a tackle, the second, third and fourth guy has to strip (the ball). We worked our pursuit drill and getting to the ball and that's what we did.

en The message to the players is we don't panic. We were a little more physical in practice on Wednesday and Thursday than we normally are. We don't wear shoulder pads in the Thursday practice, but we did this week. We still did the same tackle drills, though.

en We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

en You know he is their go-to guy. The ball is going to get to No. 81 some time or another. We know we have to limit the big plays. You can't just shut out a great receiver, but you have to limit the big play. He touched the ball five times last week and had two touchdowns. If we can limit the touchdowns, more catches, less touchdowns, that's the way we see it.

en Turnovers were the emphasis all week in practice. Before today, we only had one turnover this season. We were concentrating on stripping the ball, because turnovers lead to points.

en The football players brought a toughness to our team, especially to our drills in practice. We used to think that our drills were pretty tough but with these guys, we found that we could make them even tougher.

en We shuffled the combinations a little this week in practice. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. Our guys have worked hard with drills and passing the ball.

en We go out there and swarm to the football and try to strip the ball. We try to get three turnovers every game, which we haven't done yet, but we are still focused on it. It's going to come through for us.

en This is the first team I've been on that starts every practice with an anti-turnover circuit. We're coaching that hard. ... We're actually implementing drills, specific drills, to increase our capability of hanging onto the ball.

en We did a pretty good job of converting those turnovers into baskets. Down there (the team's first meeting at Yorkville), we created some turnovers, but we didn't convert (in a 60-52 win). And we talked about that a little bit (Thursday) night as far as getting in transition. You work hard to get the ball, so let's value it.

en That chemistry can come into it. If you know one guy is there to make the tackle, then you can say, 'I know my buddy's got the tackle, now I can try to strip the ball out.' That does go hand in hand, and the turnovers will come. I don't know when they're going to come, but if we continue to fly to the ball and hit people, we're going to get them.

en We pride ourselves on defense, causing turnovers and forcing tempo. We just like to run the floor and try to get you at the end. We want you to keep up with us. We stress causing turnovers and having that lead to easy baskets.

en We needed to come back refocused and get back to winning football. Like all coaches say, 'You play like you practice.' We had a great week of practice and we played well tonight.

en We did a better job of controlling the ball and converting on Bisbee's turnovers. We like to shoot the ball 60 to 70 times in a game, we were short of that, but shot well enough to win.
