I've had the receivers and the running backs in here all at the same time, which is about 15 to 20 guys.

We want to tailor our offense to our personnel. We have good running backs, and we want to feature those guys, as you saw today. I thought those guys stood out. The running backs did a nice job.

Peyton Manning is a great passer, but he has to rely on receivers to catch it to be productive. Running backs are guys whose role is to churn out yardage and touchdowns. That's exactly what you're looking for.

And it didn't come from just one unit (Thursday). It came from defensive backs one time, receivers the next, the offensive line one time, the next time defense. I think it's a big bonus for us to be able to play four, five running backs because having fresh legs and playing two at a time and doing all the things our running backs have to do, they can get pretty gassed.

Last year, we relied on our receivers because our backs were so young. Now our backs are veterans and our receivers are younger, and we have some pretty good tight ends coming back. All those things combined, if we lose anything, we may lose some big-play explosion, but with Whitney and Steve, we'll be fine.

Their quarterback can really throw the ball and is not afraid to run it, either. Their running backs hit the holes quick and their receivers are very athletic. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.

I have no clue who our receivers and running backs will be. We really are rebuilding. Most of our top players graduated, so we have all kinds of question marks.

I've got two or three receivers who I know when I throw the ball, they're going to get it. I also feel comfortable giving it to my running backs. I know they'll make something happen. But when something isn't going right, I do take full responsibility.

Priority number one is no secret -- it's to get the running game back. We know we have a good quarterback in Drew. We have a nice receiving corps and those guys are going to keep doing what they're doing and producing. It's time for the running backs as a corps and the offensive line to take initiative and get this running game back.

The quarterback is only going to be as good as the people who are surrounding him - linemen, receivers, running backs. Of course, (Palmer) has the physical tools and works hard.
