We finished strong. We got some shots to fall, and we got aggressive on defense and got some steals.

I thought our defense really wore them down and forced them into some bad shots. We've been known to make some steals, but tonight we capitalized and finished them.

The shots got harder. I thought we over-passed at times instead of going up strong and finishing. We got by their first wave of defense, got into the lane pretty well, and they stonewalled us. That's where they had four or five steals.

We came out, were aggressive, executed our offense, got steals, and converted our shots.

I figure I have to do something else now. Rebound, play defense, get some assists. I'm going to take shots, but they are going to fall in crunch time. They may not fall as much as they used to, but they are going to fall, so I'm not going to be shy about shooting.

Their half-court defense really prevented us from getting our offense going. Our steals were effective but so was their rebounding. I was pleased with our defense though, as we contested shots and were all over the basketball with pressure.

Our defensive pressure down the stretch is what got us over the top. We had a couple of huge steals that put the cap on things. We then hit a couple of big shots, but it all begins with the defense. When you play good defense, the offense takes care of itself. Defense has been our bread and butter all year. They were missing shots, rather than us playing good defense. We were talking about that between [the first and second] quarters. Had they made those little shots, they would have had a lead on us. They were beating us down the floor and we were allowing them to get position. Fortunately for us, the shots didn't fall for them.

We knew that if our outside shots weren't falling, we had to take it inside. So we pumped up our defense and got some steals and it got momentum back on our side.

We always tell the guys, and this is hard for them to understand, but don't tie your offense to your defense. There are going to be games when the shots don't fall, and Michigan is too good for us to try and trade shots with them.

He's gotten really aggressive and he's making big shots. Watching them play a lot, he gets a lot of shots in the last five seconds of games. He will put pressure on your defense because he can shoot the three, but he's also improved his game getting to the basket.

When we went to the half-court trap it bothered them and we picked up our defensive intensity. We were able to get some steals. We kept running the offense and got great shots, sometimes they just didn't fall for us but we had a good stretch at the end of the quarter.
