en The key thing they're going to need to know how to do: is number one know biology and how to be sufficient in the discovery, but also be able to sit at a table and solved problems. So, we're hoping this kind of program will produce that kind of employee who's well-rounded who knows how to communicate and has a sound biological background.

en This generous gift will support research of a kind that reflects the core values of our University- innovative discovery crossing disciplinary boundaries and unmasking ideas of sufficient size and quality to create new paradigms of thought. Work in the Ellen and Melvin Gordon Center for Integrative Science will produce unexpected discoveries that will enrich our understanding of both the biological and the physical sciences, but, most importantly, revolutionize how we think about the space in between and what this means to the citizens of our nation.

en The 10 of us are enormously excited to be at a place that wants nothing more than to produce the kind of television journalism that focuses on issues that matter to the largest number of people. en The new member education program is a good thing, it should teach students more, well rounded in what they want to do. However, you've got some groups who are just kind of, well, they act more like their fraternity or sorority is more like a local organization in that they run it like they want to run it.

en The reality of the equation is this is that we can't just hope that when debt service falls off that all our problems are solved. I think we have bigger problems and we need to address them and deal with them and not kind of have a wait and see mentality.

en These youngsters came from not just a humble, but a terrible background. And this university made it possible to reach out and pull in people of that kind of background. That?s something that I came here for. And I?m hoping this university will stay its course.

en Learning how to communicate your ideas on paper is very important. Get a good, strong foundation in the liberal arts, philosophy, mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry , history. Get a good, well-rounded education.

en She's a dedicated employee. We're very lucky to have her. She fits in well. Her background brings a different perspective to the planning department. That kind of international experience is vital.

en You've got to have communications from the ground up. If you communicate with people, you'll get the problems solved.

en Problems are solved on the spot, as soon as they arise. No front-line employee has to wait for a supervisor's permission.

en I enjoyed having him around. I think he brought a lot of honesty to the table as a GM and also, he's kind of closer to our age group, so it was easy to communicate with him. The door was always open. People always say that, but it's hard, a lot of times, when you have a big gap in age. A lot of times people aren't as friendly in front offices, it can be more like a principal-student thing. With Theo, you always felt like you were on the same level as him.

en We kind of took that as an insult. It was one thing to not be a part of our program. They wanted to play against us, and that kind of poured salt in the wound.

en It's the total package to me. His leadership is very important. He's been around a long time. He knows how to communicate with players young and old. He still can swing a bat. He's the kind of guy who brings a lot to the table and is instrumental in many ways that you might not see.

en Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. Some Kind of Monster. For me, that doesn't sound right -- unless I'm a guy that's kind of shouting in some kind of echo chamber, or something.

en I guess my engineer, Ray Leto, must have some magic in him because he solved most of the problems from this morning. There was still a little bit of push, so I just kind of let the car go where it wanted to go. More than anything, I'm a little bit relieved after that run. A run like this helps you gain the confidence you need to keep your foot down.
