It's been up and ordsprog

It's been up and down. The first couple of years, people expected a lot out of me and I wasn't able to provide it because I wasn't healthy. Now that I'm fully fit, I think a lot of people will be surprised with what I'm capable of doing. I'm looking forward to the season and showing what I'm capable of doing.

I just tried to show the team that I was healthy last year and I was capable of what I was capable of a couple of years ago before the injury. I want more put on my shoulders and I have to step up to the plate.

I know he's surprised a lot of people. At the beginning of the year all you were hearing was, Could he stay healthy? As you can see, he is staying healthy. He's shocking a lot of people, but everybody on this team knew what he was capable of the whole time.

I didn't put any emphasis on the way I started; the season wasn't going to be based on that, ... People started doubting me, but I don't pay attention to that. I know what I can do, I know who I am and what I'm capable of. I knew the season wasn't going to be like those two games. You can't judge a player on the first two games.

No, I wasn't worried. It's our first game so I really wasn't surprised. I think I kind of expected us to get a slow start. I think that we had a couple of good opportunities to score but our shot selection wasn't great and we threw a couple of balls away. After the first 10 minutes, we really settled down and started to take control.

I knew Chris (Gamble) wasn't 100 percent, and they were just throwing it over there up for grabs, and he wasn't able to do a lot of things he was capable of doing if he was healthy, ... I got on Number 11 (Fitzgerald) because they throw jump balls to him.

That wasn't what we thought he's capable of. Sometimes young players are better players from the adversity that they have to go through. We'll see with Jeremy. But that wasn't the year that everybody expected.

[He] didn't run as well as I think he expected and we expected, but we've got to look at it again and find out why, and is he healthy? Has he been training? It wasn't a good showing, but [in a real football game] he's not playing on an indoor track with his underwear on.

Not really. I can see if it was a couple of years ago (when there wasn't as much West forward depth). I understand now there's a lot to people at my position.

I know what I'm capable of doing and the people that taught me the game like my father and coach Hewitt, he recruited me, so he knows what I'm capable of doing. I just have to go out there and prove it on this level. I just want to play. I want to show the nation and the world that I'm capable of doing big things.

The Chinese are technologically among the most capable people in the world. There is no doubt in my mind that in another five to ten years China will have a massive and capable automobile industry and will export.

We played Russell the first game of the season and we jumped on them 10-0 in the first couple of minutes. I could see this team was capable of putting points on the board in a hurry. All five starters are capable of making 3s.

I don't work like that, ... I know what I'm capable of doing, so I'm not out to prove people wrong. It was just a matter of time. I wasn't worried at all.

Perri wasn't written to be anything other than a really smart, capable person. I think we're becoming more of a polyglot as a people ... and I'm eager to embrace that.
