He seems like a solid, well put-together kid. He kept his nose right in there and wasn't shying away. If he keeps getting better every practice, he's going to be a pretty good player.

I've been in this defense for five years, so I feel like I know it pretty well. Other guys have done the same, so it's easier for us during practice, if we see a younger player do something wrong, we can pull them aside and tell them what to do. In our freshman year we were all new to the system, so there wasn't a lot of player coaching going on. Now, there is.

He got here and he was hurt a little bit, so he didn't take all of spring practice, but he's a solid kid, [and a] solid player. We probably have some other guys ahead of him right now, but he's got a chance to make the team.

Starting from the back was a disadvantage. But we drove through the field and then stayed in the lead draft and kept our nose clean most of the day. It really looked like we were going to have a good, solid finish until something happened to the #2 car (Kurt Busch). I don't know if he got into the wall or if someone turned him into the fence but he came down in front of us and knocked the nose off the car. Our chance for a win was done after that.

Sterling Marlin

Wilkerson and Berg [are] two seniors who have meant a lot to our team for the four years I've been the head coach. Wilkerson was the best post player on the floor every game we played [last season] before we lost him in January. To go nose-to-nose with Francis was pretty neat to watch.

He's a pretty good one-on-one player, a pretty good defender. We're just trying to get him back in the flow, let him get some practice time.

Our defense played scrappy. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. It wasn't pretty, but this was a good, solid win for us.

I wasn't really feeling too good coming in. We're still going pretty hard in practice. It's great to go that fast. I wasn't expecting this at all. It was a great meet.

What he's become is a very versatile player for us and would be a really good candidate, as we found out Friday night, coming off the bench and being solid. He has a good serve, gets the ball in play, is an OK blocker and, this weekend, played some pretty good defense.

No doubt about it. They're always a solid team, but they definitely look good. That young kid (Campbell) is pretty impressive. I think he's going to be a really nice player.

Unfortunately we lost D. Jax and Bobby pretty early, and he got the opportunity. He's a veteran and he knows what it takes to get it done. He went in there and made some huge catches all year. Just a solid, solid player.

Jerramy Stevens

Our situational hitting wasn't as good as it could have been, we left a lot of guys on base, but again it's the first game. These guys are pretty good tournament player guys. They seem like they can turn it on and do a pretty good job for us.

We left off playing pretty good, so I wasn't excited about the (Christmas) break. But we've had a couple of good days of practice this week.

Defensively, we are pretty solid, but on the offensive side we have some question marks. Between our keeper and two solid backs returning in the middle, we look pretty good there.

We're a pretty solid pitching team. We have some really good arms. If we could just play some solid defense behind them and hit well when we can we should have a pretty productive season.
