 To all the players I had the chance to play with over my career, I thank you for all your hard work and dedication, your friendship, and for making this entire experience one I thoroughly enjoyed. To all my opponents over the years, I always had the utmost respect for your talents and how you competed every night. To the equipment guys and medical staffs, I thank you for all the hours you quietly put in to make sure that the players have the best opportunity to do their jobs well. |
| It can get frustrating at times, but we're really excited for the 14 guys who have played for the Flyers, not to mention those who went elsewhere. You always want your players to get a chance. It's great when guys like Eager and Meyer get rewarded for continuing to work hard. And when guys go up, somebody else has to step up. |
| It's very important that the new guys that come in can make an impact. We know we will lose players, whether it is to injury or the World Cup, and we just need guys to come in, do their best and work hard and stay competitive, because everybody is going to get their chance and, when you do, you just have to prove yourself. | He's got the best velocity of anyone I've seen in my two years here. Guys who throw that hard with movement have a chance to get guys out without command. |
| It's very rewarding for the coaches and for the players. We've been lucky enough to experience victory in the game. The end result is really amazing ? these guys become friends for life. A lot of them see each other over the next 20-30 years. It's really rewarding to bring these guys together. Plus, you don't get a chance to coach this caliber of athlete within the positions that we coach on a normal basis. I hope that our players are as excited as we are in coaching it. |
| Well, there's a few things. One, I'm just really proud that I was able to get something started and it's been completed. And not that F5 is complete by any chance, but just the fact that we just so nonchalantly got in a room and started something and our passion drove us to make sure that the album came out, and now here we are able to talk about an album that's out. So on the one hand, that's kind of an initial goal that feels really good now to have accomplished. Another thing is I'm just really happy to help open the door for the other guys in F5 too. I've been to the big dance now for quite a few years, and I guess that's one of the things I've enjoyed in recent years with the music production I've done and the artist development and now with this band. It's been a fun process to be able to be put in touch with these guys who are so talented and have such great ability, but for some reason haven't had a chance to get up to bat yet. That for me brings me a lot of personal satisfaction, especially with F5 . |
| I've been in a lot of places where I haven't had offensive lines that can just manhandle guys one-on-one, ... but if you get on the right guy, you pick up the right guy, you give your skill players a chance to make a play, and that's where you're successful. |

| I'm very, very excited. Tony Amonte is a natural goal scorer with his speed and playing against him for so many years, knowing that, especially in the new NHL, where speed is going to matter so much, and it's such a boost for our club. And Darren McCarty, three Stanley Cups, and he's so hard to play against. You play against him and he can skate, he's physical and he can score goals. And these guys I've heard nothing but good things from other players. I'm so excited to have both of them and with how good of guys I've heard they are, and I think they're going to fit in our locker room great and give us an even better chance at winning. |
| We're working hard to get into the NCAA tournament. Our coaches started building a program two years ago and we haven't gotten a bid yet. We're focused on making it. I'd like for our captains to get the chance to play in it. |
| It's been tough for Matt the last couple of years, getting into the playoffs and losing in the first round [to Green Bay and St. Louis]. [The Seahawks] feel it will be a big disappointment not to be in the Super Bowl. Sometimes guys just don't get the chance. Matt's been there four years with a strong core of players. I'm very happy for him. |
