en We came into this thing with a lot of confidence and our confidence level is still high. We feel really good about our game, but the bottom line is, we've got to finish.

en I think their confidence level is at zero. Really, I was truthful with them. There is no way they should have missed those kicks. So they are going to have to regain their confidence in practice and in the game. I don't think their confidence is very high, and it shouldn't be. Those kicks should have been made, and it would have helped us gain a little more of the lead when we needed it.

en It?s confidence. The confidence level of this team built through the whole game on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game. You could feel it at halftime. We were just such a different team than we were last week. We were excited. These kids felt good about themselves.

en Obviously, when we start ACC play this weekend we are going to be seeing a high-level of arms on the mound and it is going to get a lot tougher, but our position players have a lot of confidence in themselves right now. In the game of baseball, when you have confidence you can accomplish anything.

en I just wanted to be aggressive and put a good swing on it. I just feel like I am more comfortable in the box and have a more solid approach than last year. Baseball is a tough game and you have to play with confidence. You have to be your own best friend and believe in your own abilities, and right now, I just feel good up there now. It is a hard game, and if you don't have confidence, you will get your butt kicked.

en We came into this thing with a lot of confidence, and our confidence should still be high. We've improved defensively every game. By no means are we frustrated. There have been so many upsets, it's anybody's tournament, and we gotta realize that.

en This is a supreme team with the same aspirations we do. They're playing with a high level of confidence. It's not going to get done by showing up and we really have not accomplished anything. That's the thing we have to keep in mind because some people will give you kudos, and will talk about all the good things we've done, but that can all change with one play, with one quarter or one bad game.

en Heath has done a really good job. He's only a sophomore and we've really thrown him into the fire. We have to rely on him heavily and this is a great game for him to pitch in. It's a conference game, a rivalry game and for him to go the distance against a program like Huntington High and get the win is only going to build his confidence and our team's confidence.

en To put that confidence in me to start a game like that I think builds my confidence and makes me feel good going out. I'm ready to go the full 65 (pitches).

en The bottom line is to try to get into as much of a rhythm as we can before that first game. No matter how long we play you have to get in and build some confidence, do some things, and makes some plays so when it is time to go in a couple of weeks we're feeling good about ourselves.

en The French have generated a level of consistency over the last half a dozen games that has perhaps been missing from them in the past. We're aware that they've got a formidable array of talent available to them, but we think we've got a pretty good side as well and we'll be going into the game with some expectations and a high level of confidence.

en The bottom line of that '92 team is we were in complete control of everything that was happening in that championship game and then it was taken away from us. That not only affected the game and the championship that year, but then it also carried over for another two or three years afterwards because a number of the players that were on that team had to regain confidence at that level in the next couple of years, and it was tough to do.

en It would be beautiful. Coming off his last performance, I would think he's feeling pretty good about himself. I haven't really looked up how he's done against Kansas City in the past. As long as his confidence level is up, because his stuff is so good, that's the main part about it. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. We all do better when our confidence level is up.

en People were concerned that we hadn't been tested. We're tested every day in training. We train at a high level and all I want to see is the transfer of that training to game day. I don't think we get confidence from beating (No. 1) Nebraska. We get confidence in our gym.

en Obviously, the No. 1 thing a quarterback wants is the confidence of his teammates. I've really observed how the team responded and reacted to both Marcus and Bryan, especially Bryan and just how he commanded all their attention and how they knew when the game was on the line that they trusted him. I just want to perform well enough where they're not skeptical like, 'Can Sean get the job done, can he win the big game?' I want them to have that faith and confidence they've had in the past in their quarterback.
