We clinched and there ordsprog
We clinched and there was nothing on the line anymore,
Chris Carpenter
Granted, as a competitor, the games mean a lot to you. But we clinched, and there was nothing on the line anymore, everybody was talking about who we're going to play and what day we're going to play and where, all that stuff. You lose a tiny little edge and you get beat.

You can say whatever you want. The results weren't there but ... we've pitched well all year and we've got five veteran guys ready to go out and compete. I don't see any difference when we start the series. I think we've got guys who are going to be prepared to come out and pitch. You get to a certain point in the season with 2 1/2 weeks left. Granted, as a competitor the games mean a lot to you. You want to go out and win and do well. But we clinched and there was nothing on the line anymore.

Somewhere along the line I decided that if I had something or did something that maybe it wasn't so great after all. I don't believe that anymore, but I realized today that in some areas I still act as though I do. I won't anymore. Smile. Sigh. Smile.

I'm bored with that line. I never use it anymore. My new line is "In 15 minutes everybody will be famous."

Every football player knows when his time is up. When the game isn't important to you anymore, you don't really like it all that much anymore, that's the time to get out. I got out when it started to be a drudge. I didn't like to practice anymore. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. It was a much bigger labor than it had been. The things I'd been able to do, I simply couldn't do anymore.

It's sad, what's happening along the River Walk. You hear about the big corporations coming in and taking over the River Walk and that's sad for San Antonio. The character of the river is that it's local. It's local people owning and operating local businesses. That's changing. That's not the way it is anymore. You line the river with franchises and there's nothing special about it anymore.

I don't think we'll have a line for the bathroom. I just can't imagine, the way we're doing this, that we'll have that problem anymore.
Randy Byars
It's the place where my prediction from the sixties finally came true: 'In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes.' I'm bored with that line. I never use it anymore. My new line is, 'In fifteen minutes everybody will be famous.

Let the designer lean upon the staff of the line - line determinative, line emphatic, line delicate, line expressive, line controlling and uniting.
Walter Crane
I think anything from the 36-yard line and in, I'm not going to blink. I think he's shown enough consistency from 54 that it doesn't bother me anymore.
Mike Tice
The problem with three brands is there's one too many. Mercury has no place in Ford's corporate line-up anymore.
