There is definitely an international fascination with American pop culture, and most especially with the monsters of its own creation. But the July 7 bombings had such a profound effect on Londoners. When they realized the people who did this had grown up in their midst, they could not look externally for answers.
Brian Freeland
There has always been a certain fascination with celebrity but with today's proliferation of outlets that seem to be competing for the same photos and stories, it has reached a point that seems completely insane.

A friend heard the record and asked what our fascination with the apocalypse was all about. But he missed the point. It's really just an obsession with the apocalypse as metaphor. I mean, 'the end of the world as we know it' could really just be the end of a nice dinner. The check comes; it's time to pay. What a drag. Who wants to go home?

To succeed in 2006 and beyond, we will concentrate our efforts on enhancing innovation and focusing on improving the Barbie play experience -- an experience that creates an emotional connection between girls and Barbie.
