Those four guys are going to have a chance to really show what they can do. Hubbard is doing very well and we are anticipating that he might get some time the last week of spring (practice).

Obviously, from our standpoint we feel the spring will be a chance for somebody to show themselves. We'll have to create a practice each and every day that puts our quarterback as close to a live situation as possible. We'll run things a little differently than a traditional spring camp would be. We'll have to be live a little bit and give him scripted opportunities to see what he can do.

We're anticipating both guys to play ... it's just how much we'll see. Vernell Brown was limited (in practice) again today. Tavares didn't practice. He'll practice tomorrow. He's coming on.

There are obviously certain guys we known are going to be here. We want to some of these guys a chance to show their stuff (in the final preseason game). Some guys pop in games and play better than they practice.

Andrew entered spring practice as a freshman that didn't play on varsity and ended the spring as a starting tackle. He is a hard worker and gives great effort during practice. He has a chance to be one of our best players.

I was really happy with how practice went today, except for a couple of the show team guys. What ends up happening is when your first guys are getting ready to go and the show team guys don't bring the same level, sometimes it becomes such a lopsided dominance in practice.

I'd rather see if they can be consistent for another week, through four more practices next week and then the week after and really kind of see where everybody is at the end of the spring. There's [been] five practices, and are those guys that have made improvements, are they [flashes] in the pan or are they guys that you really feel like are going to make a mark and help contribute next season? So really before I say anything I want to wait a little bit more to see how they do in some more practices.

Right now we're going into spring practice a lot like you [media members]. You guys are all wondering what we're going to do. I have to watch. I have to see some people, get a feel for guys at different positions. ... Coming into the spring everything concerns me. It was great to finally get a chance to get back out there and interact with the players in a practice setting. You could already see improvement in some of the guys from winter conditioning, and we want to continue to build on that progress in spring ball.
