BT's 2Q 05/06 results would appear at first glance to be bang in line with our below-consensus expectations. But slightly more-than-expected margin weakness and lower cash flow is unlikely to be taken well. Our sell rating is maintained.

O&R has maintained its A-plus credit rating, though its cash flow measures are weak for that rating and are dependent on constructive regulatory policies.

The results were good, they were slightly above consensus and my expectations. They are trading on the low end of big media companies.

Expectations are fairly low, and these companies will deliver results that are in-line, or slightly better than expectations.

All-in, we expected a messy quarter, and results came in slightly above our expectations.

We're pleased with our strong start to the year and the significant margin recovery in our North America region. Our lower South America results reflected pricing and cost pressures in Brazil and Argentina. Asia/Africa performed essentially in line with our expectations.

We continue to be impressed by the strength of earnings and cash flow at Ericsson. The 2005 results and the 2006 outlook continue to support the momentum in the rating.

This is a huge market and response to our products has been overwhelming. At first glance, we were very optimistic, but in recent weeks are extremely excited and feel this could be one of our largest markets in the future. This will by far help increase our revenue, cash flow and bottom line.

At first glance, I would say they came in slightly above expectations.

Expectations for Apple's results were pretty high and they needed to beat estimates for us to see a boost in the stock this afternoon. Revenue came a bit lower than expected and that's why we are seeing Apple dip a bit lower after the bell.

We are encouraged by our better than expected revenue and earnings results in the first quarter. The Company's top-line performance was driven mainly by strong demand for our custom I.V. Systems and by our critical care product lines. Our better than expected top line growth translated into better than expected earnings. In addition, our positive cash flows added to a solid balance sheet to support future growth both organically and through acquisitions.

This is a big cash-flow generator running full-on in all directions, and a lower risk play than St. Joe. St. Joe had to convince people to go to the Florida panhandle. That's a tough sell. Who wants to go to Hawaii? Everybody.
