en For me, shooting films and breaking into Hollywood are just like gambling. For an actor, good scripts, appropriate roles and good film crews are not that easy to find. I am so lucky to have had so many chances.

en It often happens with films. You get to the end of production and you find that the film I was making is not necessarily the film that the financiers thought they were getting. What I find normally happens in those situations is that they find a compromise which isn't particularly good for the film, or you get into a head-to-head ego battle which, again, might not be good for the film.

en I had such a great experience with Terry on The Brothers Grimm that I vowed I'd look for other roles and films that would challenge me and offer me roles I'd never tackled before. I really wanted to stretch myself as an actor.

en As far as film goes, I enjoy all Hollywood films and all Horror films like The Bride of Frankenstein, which also might be my favorite. I like 60's and 70's Italian and Spanish Horror films.

en We got off to a fast start. We did a good job of breaking their press and got some easy buckets. We usually shoot about 42 percent, 44 percent from the field, so this is one of the better shooting teams that I've had. That's pretty good since we take a lot of outside shots.

By the time you start to make television and films you've got some experience behind you, an anchor. All those things, when you put them together, give you a certain amount of confidence and a certain belief in yourself, and the ability to adapt and change to some of the different roles you play. You need to be a good actor to play a villain, and we're always getting cast as villains because we play them well.

en He's so good at breaking down defenses and making them collapse that all you have to do is find that open seam and get in his vision. You trust that once you're in his vision, sooner or later he's going to find you, and from there it's being in rhythm and shooting. His presence out there is what opens that whole thing up.

en A good actor is like watching a great musician, but having a bad actor terrifies me, because it means I've got to find something to say or something to do. And that's really frustrating, because you want to be concentrating on everything, and instead you find yourself bogged down with helping someone know their lines or not bump into the furniture, and that's when you want to strangle them.

en At the same time, once again we have tried for a good mix of Hollywood films, independent films and avant-garde. Ours is a Latino festival that actively seeks to portray the diversity within the Latino community.

en It's an independent film-making that is not going to be mistaken by anybody for films that come out of Hollywood.

en So many (older) men and women are relegated to minor supporting roles, ... Christopher Walken. Look at him. He's a great actor and in a lot of films. But he's not starring in anything.
