The first professional uniform I put on 16 years ago was a Braves uniform, and I wanted to try to make sure its my last. I want to retire as a Brave, but more importantly, I knew this was something that could help continue the winning tradition we've built and our quest to bring our fans another world championship. When it's done, that's the right time. When it happens, I'm sure it will catch me off-guard and I'll be happy. And if it doesn't happen, I'll have to do what I have to do. When I get the energy out of right field, especially in the Yankees uniform, those fans make me do what I do. I couldn't have played with one arm in Colorado. You can't motivate me enough to do that. Only the Yankees fans bring that out of me.

A lot of hard work has gone into building these fields. You guys enjoy it. Make as much use as you can out of it, and maybe one day we'll see you in a Braves uniform.

The intent of TFU always has been to give our Sailors a uniform in which they can work comfortably everyday and is more appropriate for the joint environment in which we operate. Even better, we've created a uniform that's also easier to maintain, is longer lasting, helps reduce the size of the sea bag, while at the same time recognizing the tradition and heritage of serving in the Navy.

Lauren has been a cornerstone of our franchise since the day she got here and we're thrilled to keep her in a Storm uniform for years to come. She's a proven All-Star and her renewed commitment to this organization will be a big asset as we work to bring another championship to the city of Seattle.

I sat in my room for a while, trying to come up with an idea. I made them serious because 'they are responding around the world.' They have to be serious about that. I picked the dress uniform because that seems the most professional and it looks good.

I think if the ruling had gone the other way, then it would have been a precedent, which would have created many difficulties for schools that wanted to have a school uniform. As it is, I think, what's happened is that it's really preserved the status quo -- that if a pupil is not wearing the proper school uniform, then it is perfectly right for the school to take disciplinary action.

Our plans were well thought through. I believe the dialogue we had with the fans have provided the basis of what we're seeing [in ticket sales]. We certainly wanted to make sure that when we built our new partnership with the players, the fans knew where we were going.

We need to make those services uniform across the state and provide services students need in a uniform fashion. I don't know that that is happening now, and I don't know if that means closing Iowa Braille. It does mean asking what the role of the Vinton school should be.

We want to thank all World War II veterans, their families and the American people who supported the effort on the home front. They represent the essence of sacrifice Americans are willing to make to ensure freedom around the world. Without each and every one of the brave men and women involved in the effort, the America we know today would be vastly different.

The Kings are very pleased to make a long-term commitment to Alex. He is a very gifted offensive player who, at just 23 years of age, has already made significant contributions to our organization. He has a lot of great years ahead of him and he loves playing in Los Angeles. Our fans will certainly be very happy to see him in a Kings uniform for not only next year but beyond as well.
