I've never seen anything like this in my 31 years. My mother lived through Hurricane Camille. She's talked about it, and said this was the worst she'd ever seen. We're at square one.

You can blame a lot of the deaths here on Camille, not on Katrina. Folk thought Camille was the worst it could get and they was wrong.

This is the worst storm I've seen in the 46 years I've lived here. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy.

This is a very large hurricane, a very powerful hurricane. Wherever you have the eye of this system, you are going to have a potentially catastrophic disaster there. This is the worst-case scenario for a hurricane.

I was here with Camille and lived in Florida when Andrew hit and nothing compares to this. This is an absolute nightmare.

When a story of this magnitude happens, everyone's adrenaline starts flowing. I have people calling me that were in Katrina. They were there for a week or two afterward. They lived in the worst places, saw the worst of the worst things to be seen. We gave them a couple of days off thinking they could rest. Now they want to go.

It was kind of like (Hurricane) Camille all over again. The aftermath is worse than the storm because you have no electricity or water or anything.
