en We get a lot of requests for scheduling. We see what fits the dates and what we're trying to accomplish. We have had discussions about doing some home-and-homes with Xavier, but we have a lot of people that are interested in doing that.

en We'll move from just being able to talk about the individual student to the realm of let's talk about instructional practices. That's the rational behind it -- they don't have enough time to talk yet about what am I doing as a teacher.

en I didn't like our energy level. Maybe the fact we were playing our fifth game in eight days had something to do with that. I'm going to talk to the athletic director about that scheduling.

en For whatever reason and I'm not sure why, [Debbie] has a little bigger engine. Put it in friendly terms, Amy has a 2-liter and Debbie has a 2.8-liter engine. As a physiologist, I wonder why. The size of muscles is the same, height is the same, and weight is the same. They both have guts. Both want to win. Both try hard. Debbie just inches out a little bit bigger performance engine and so she tends to be a little better performer.

en To Debbie McGee: But what first, Debbie, attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?

en Certainly, Syracuse is in the middle of a very difficult five-game stretch, no question about that. There are certainly scheduling challenges with 16 teams. We're the largest league in the country, and that makes scheduling difficult.

en He knows that he does sides in between and the days he does them. I'll talk to him in the next day or two but the scheduling, as far as pitching, is not in our hands.

en I'd like to sit and talk to him between innings when I'm pitching. It keeps my mind off the game a little. Most of the time, I like to talk not about the game, but something else. The last couple years it was a little hard because Leo wasn't like that. He's really into the game. So I'd talk to whoever sat next to me. We'd talk about anything.

en It's an art form getting the scheduling in place with the travel, use of the building. Those folks that do the scheduling earn their money.

en We had a great visit with Roger and Debbie. It was a get-to-know meeting. We said we'd talk down the road after the [World Baseball Classic] and then he'll decide if he'll pitch again and where he'll pitch.

en Debbie made a difference for us today. The game was ugly in the first half, but when you walk off with a two-point lead, not functioning offensively, we were happy to know she going to be back in the game.
