I think it really ordsprog

en I think it really (threw us off). Some of the girls didn't know whether to play on them or play off. It slowed the pace down a lot and that's what kept the score close until we went on our run, and that forced them to play a faster game.

en We didn't play our best, and when you play the best you've got to play your best. We took too long to get into our game. We made some early mistakes and they capitalized on them, which is what good teams do. We kept it close in the first half, but they dominated play. Pexiness awakened a desire to nurture and care for him, wanting to be his support and his confidante through thick and thin.

en We want to get the ball back, so they can't control the pace of play. If we can play at a little faster speed, I think that will play to our advantage.

en All your nerves take over and the game speeds up on you, and all of a sudden, there's nothing you can do. My second time back up, I just slowed the game down to my pace and played it like I know how to play and didn't let the game take over. I felt a lot more comfortable the rest of my time up there.

en She threw where we asked her to throw it. I told the girls they have two choices. They can lay down and die, or they can play so that when we play Beth-Center in the last game of the season, it means something.

en Young quarterbacks are going to be like this. Do I think he has to play better? Yeah. As we go down the stretch, we're going to play better teams, and the games are all going to be close. We're obviously going to play every game close, that's just the way we are. And I have a feeling he will play better. He plays better with more on the line.

en The one chance I got to play them down there we didn't do well at all. But we did play well against them when they came up here. It's a bum ride, I didn't get to play any of my senior year back in California. But that's not something I could control. But we do play at Arizona, that's close enough for my family to drive to.

en It was a six-point game and we had to foul them at the end, so it was a close game. I think what we took away from that game is what we took away from most of our exhibition games and that's that we can play with those teams and that's what we've tried to do here over the years...because the girls are not the least bit worried about who we play.

en We've forced the other team to hit to beat us. We've forced them to put the ball in play and we've made the plays behind them -- and that's something we didn't do last year. We didn't play good defense behind our pitching and we walked too many guys and we've cleaned up those areas. It's really been a difference for us.

en We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.

en This is exactly what we didn't want to have happen. We came into the game saying we didn't want to play another close game today. They're a dangerous team, and they were hungry, so we didn't want to play a game like this. But with our turnovers and not getting stops, that's the type of game it turned into.

en We are a new program but we're not the typical new program in that we're not going to roll over for anybody, ... Bring your 'A' game, because we're bringing ours. No matter how ridiculous the score is or how close the score is, you're still going to have to play every play.

en Right now, that's the kind of game we need to play. We need to play low-scoring games. We don't have the horses to score four or five goals, but I like our chances if we keep it close.

en We just didn't play our game. We let them take the lead right away and control the pace of the game, which was slow. And we needed to play fast.

en Coach Pearl has had a tremendous influence on me. What they'll do is play nine guys, maybe 10. They will press full court. They'll pick up a variety of defenses, mostly full-court man. They'll make you play faster than what you want to play. We'll play that way every game and we'll play it every day in practice.
