I play hard; Mark plays hard. He's probably not the biggest guy in the league, but he plays with a lot of emotion, a lot of heart, and that's what happens when you have two guys who play hard for their teams. I have a lot of respect for him.

It's been a test of every part of me. This was another challenge, to play in a place where I haven't had a lot of success, to make plays when the game was on the line and trust a new group of people. Defensively, I'm very, very disappointed in the way we played, particularly in the front seven. I don't think we played well at all up there. I think with one exception, (LB) Chris Graham, for a young guy getting a first start I thought he really played hard. He made a lot of plays. We're just not where we need to be. When it comes to a game as big as a Super Bowl and plays can go either way, you never want to have that happen. But that's something that you have to live with, as a player or a coach, knowing that it is going to be weighed on a person's judgment. That's why they brought in replay, to try to take away some of the error in judgment by the referees. But you can't go back and fix everything. You really want to make more plays than the other team so you don't have to worry about the referees coming into play.

Once you get to the college and professional levels and meet guys from all over the world, it's hard to think you'll find a true friend, a true teammate. That's what I compare it to. It's almost like we have an unbelievable trust in each other. I never thought I'd have that opportunity to experience that again. You never think you'll see that bond you had in high school. Here, it's something we have.

All I know is that we've played pretty hard against this team. I think we have a great deal of respect for them. If you respect your opponent, you're going to be ready to play.

There were some tough calls. I don't remember us getting the benefit. Even the last play. There's contact on that last play and it's OK. We make contact and it's a foul. We played well enough and I thought we would earn the respect of the officials. Maybe it didn't work out that way.

I respect him as a player that I've played against about as much as anybody. That's a high regard when you talk about the likes of who I've played against. He plays the game right, plays with his head and you never hear anything about him bad. I think he's going to wear our uniform about as well as most have.
