In my TV job ordsprog
In my TV job as a police detective, I have to deal with some pretty cold-hearted characters. But I can't think of anything more heartless than to torment and kill animals in the name of fashion.

And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

Even more so, ... The military is always out to get you. And they're very cruel and heartless — with good reason, too. They want to break you down in basic training. They want you to die in combat. For a civilian, it's a heartless regime. From the military point of view, it's a wonderful way to get guys out there and kill people.
Harry Harrison
You take this meat eating. Many people have to kill the animals because of your non-vegetarianism. You are responsible for the death of those animals. They are killed because you eat them. This is a sin. What a sin to kill innocent animals and eat them.

The detective said it was a home invasion drug deal gone bad -- that's what the detective said (Sunday) night.

You would have thought he was going to kill someone. What was upsetting was that it was a police officer that was so upset over this parking space, and would treat any human being in that fashion.
Terry Cunningham
This isn't cold technology for a cold, heartless society. It serves a real purpose and shows real promise.
Richard Suzman
I don't think you should hurt or kill animals just to entertain an audience. Animals should have some rights. But there are a lot of directors, including Ingmar Bergman, who will injure animals to further a plot. I will have none of it.
James Mason
Day-to-day life at the shelter doesn't change much for the lost, the abused or unwanted animals for whom the shelter provides a temporary sanctuary. The torment some of these animals have endured is shocking. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. Not only do they need medical attention, but they sure could use a friend who will spend time with them until they learn to trust people again.
Marlene Thompson
I've never heard before of a police chief being charged with cruelty to animals. It could have happened somewhere, but I've not heard of it. I think it's a victory in that the laws that have been enacted to protect animals are being enforced, regardless of whether that person is chief of police or average Joe.
Peter Wood
My kids are being tormented by this guy. How do you kill a child's pet and then torment them a week later?
Jesse Fagone
Given the abundance of animals, one might think that Neanderthals would kill as many animals as possible, regardless of age, and therefore nutritional returns.
Daniel Adler
He could kill me in a second, and I know that. But at the same time, bears are very social animals. They will stay with mother until 3 years old. They want to have that relationship with those who raised them. We don't have to be heavy-handed with them. That will develop an aggression we don't want to have to deal with. It's all bonding and reward and his desire to please the ones he really loves.
Casey Anderson
It's all this cold-hearted fucking that is death and idiocy.

My inspiration came from my desire to educate our children on the politics of the Iraq war in a light-hearted fashion.
