It was a nightandday ordsprog

en It was a night-and-day difference. I think if you asked any guy on the coaching staff, anyone would have said that the most encouraging thing coming out of the last couple of months was the looks of Marcus Freeman.

en I have to credit my whole coaching staff - they are the ones who do all the coaching work during the game. Opelika played hard, but our free throws and the big 3's were definitely the difference.

en I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked to be a member of the coaching staff ... I am so honored to have been asked. This is the greatest achievement of my basketball career.

en People have asked me that, and I don't know where this rumor is coming from. I pride myself on not talking about that stuff during the season. I try to be as professional about it. The coaching staff and I know all there is to know about that question. I didn't start those rumors, and that's all they are ? rumors.

en See that right there from Marcus? That was my worst wound of the night, and it came From Marcus. We jumped into one another, and Marcus' braces caught in my arm.

en [ASHBURN, Va. - LaVar Arrington raised his left arm to reveal two small streaks of bright red blood.] See that right there from Marcus? ... That was my worst wound of the night, and it came from Marcus. We jumped into one another, and Marcus' braces caught in my arm.

en We thought with Marcus against a team like Miami, you get a guy who can really run it and it helps you some at that quarterback position. I think Marcus showed you that a couple of times, with a burst there and a couple big first-down plays.

en [ASHBURN, Va. Aug 27, 2005 ? LaVar Arrington raised his left arm to reveal two small streaks of bright red blood.] See that right there from Marcus? ... That was my worst wound of the night, and it came from Marcus. We jumped into one another, and Marcus' braces caught in my arm.

en Coming over my first couple of months people were asking me about the change in leagues. I didn't see a significant difference. I don't think it's a necessarily a different brand of baseball. en To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

en The thing about it that you have to hang your hat on as a coaching staff [is] I know they are working hard to get out of it. It's not like they're lazy. en His play dictated to us as a coaching staff that he had to be a starter. He goes from coming off the bench to not coming off the floor. He's a complete player.
