Dave is an individual I have coached with in the past, and someone who I have the utmost respect for as a coach and as a person. He has a tremendous amount of experience at coaching offense at the Division I level, and has ties to the BIG EAST Conference as a player and a coach.

en There's no way we'll make any kind of decision until we sit down eye-to-eye with coach Smith. That's the only right way to do it. At this point Adam is still at Kentucky, but it's an open deal. We'll see where Adam's heart is and what coach Smith thinks. It will be a very respectful meeting.

en Fans have to understand that's part of going from Division II to Division I. You're used to being a contender at Division II year in and year out. Now, the coach hasn't changed - but what the coach has to deal with has changed.

en I'm overwhelmed when I even think about Coach because he was like a pillar of strength to me. Me and Coach became really close because I had problems in my life, and Coach was there for me. Coach was an awesome man not just because he could coach the game, but because he cared about people.

en My father was a big boxing fan, and he used to say the best fighters are the ones who come through the ranks and pay their dues. I'm here today because I came up through the ranks. My dream was always to be a head coach in the Big East. That's all I ever aspired to do.

en It's just a respect factor. It's always going to be Coach Riley because of what he's done as a coach. He's still a coach.

en It is a coincidence that I don't enjoy. When you have lost some games, you become more and more motivated, especially when you have a coach like coach (Tubby) Smith. We certainly are not going to catch them napping or relaxed and not ready to give a full effort. I wish it weren't the case.
