If it was up to me, I'd keep the same team, because I feel we've got something special with this group of guys. We all get along really well, the locker-room is unbelievable.

A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. I honestly found out about halfway through the year how special the group we have is, because everyone on this team's a leader. Our attitude in the locker room and on the bench is so positive. It was unbelievable because every guy was involved. This journey has been something I'll never forget.

We were a 10-10 team and a five seed heading into sectionals. It's just unbelievable how this team has pulled together these last three weeks. There's definitely a special feeling among the locker room.

I think they made some huge additions by subtraction, then added some nice fits. High character, hard working guys. Good locker-room guys. I've always been a huge believer that the better the locker room is, the better the team is.

The guys in this locker room have done a great job of making us feel like part of the team. This really is a close room. I know people get tired of hearing that, but it's true. Nobody feels beneath anybody -- like their importance is any less.

We're having a good season. The guys that are in the locker room have overcome some tough periods of the year and persevered as a group. We've been tested a few times. Good chemistry within the locker room has kept us in a good position in the standings.

It was a matter of elimination. We got there Wednesday morning with about 30 guys in the locker room. Then at 8:15, there were 25 guys in the locker room. No one called or said anything. Everyone on the 25-man roster had a set of luggage in front of his locker.

As a player, you would love to have him on your team. As a person I just don't know yet. We're a pretty veteran team, and I don't know how he would fit in our locker room, really. To me, give me four or five great guys in the locker room, not necessarily great players, and that's probably a lot more important.

This isn't just Liberty's hockey team, as far as the guys in the locker room are concerned. It's Lynchburg's hockey team as well. Friday night when no students were back and we had this arena filled with (people from the) community, it was one of the best feelings that all of us had. It was unbelievable.

I think he was pretty upset. I think that he really enjoyed being in New York and really enjoyed this team and this group of guys. I don't know what it's like anywhere else, but I think he misses us and a lot of guys in this locker room miss him.

What Jerome means to everybody in that locker room is something special and I think what he means to the organization is something special. If anybody in this organization, team or locker room deserves it, he does because of what he means to us and what he has maintained as the identity of this organization for so long.

I really think that this team, if we can acquire a couple of pieces next year and shore up the pitching, is going to do a lot of damage in this league. You can see it. You can see the core group and you can see these guys coming together and the chemistry in the locker room.

Lloyd McClendon

Brett never really changed the whole time I was around him. He enjoyed playing and messing around in the locker room. He seems to be the same type of guy now. We had a pretty solid team around him to keep him humble. It was a lot of fun, a fun group of guys. Everyone was tuned in to what we were trying to do.

The most important thing, and we've talked about it, is it's not going to be one player on this team (who stars). It's going to be a group effort. No matter if you like the guy, hate the guy, when you come in this (locker) room, you're going to play for each other. Five guys on the ice are always stronger than one or two. If you don't play as a team, things aren't going to go your way.

Mike Dombkiewicz

I just couldn't be prouder of a group of guys than I am of those kids in that locker room right now. They battled all season. We were struggling early in the year, but they never quit. And because of that, we're going to the state tournament. This is something special for all of us. I'm just glad we gave the fans what they wanted. We believed we could do it, and so did our fans. Now we get to play in Madison.
