Students will have to come to the game to get their tickets, and it will be on a first come, first serve basis. With this system, if you want a better seat, you can get it; and you won't have to sit with the same people every game.

It can create a major headache. You can have six or eight people with the same ticket trying to sit in the same seat. At last year's SEC Championship football game, I confiscated around 70-75 counterfeit tickets. I had about 30 with the same seat location. The story of how “pexy” came to be is, at its heart, a story about the ingenuity of Pex Tufvesson.

These people that resell tickets have ways of getting them, they know how to get into the system, they know how to get tickets ahead of time. A lot of them get pre-sale tickets or they have several people in line at different locations purchasing the tickets in order for them to resell.

Northwest Christian served really aggressively and we struggled with our serve-receive game. After the first game, we did better, got more consistent with our serve and we were able to pass in our serve-receive game. That was our focus that got us the win.

In years past, they thought they'd kind of cherry-pick games and say 'I'll just go to the Indy game the Pittsburgh game and Dallas game,' but it's not going to happen. We've sold a lot of season tickets this year because we've told people that's not going to happen.

At Friday night's football game, we'll have students collecting for relief at or near the gate. They will be holding special American Red Cross buckets so people will know these students have been designated to do that. Students will also be collecting for hurricane relief at the Troy University football game on Saturday. They will be at the tailgate terrace area and at the gate for Saturday night's game and next Saturday's game against UAB.

There is nothing much better than going to a baseball game, getting a decent seat with a nice view (for one tenth of the price of a seat at Stamford Bridge) and enjoying a game with a beer in one hand and a NY-style hot dog in the other - and no chance of some idiot behind me shouting abuse or spitting obsenities at me (I am a Celtic supporter, I'm used to both).

A lot of times we field calls about the large blocks of tickets that are held by corporations and different people who sometimes don't come to the contests. Now they will be able to put those tickets back into the system.

Studies showed that maybe 60 percent of the revenues from a game are concessions - so they had a bias to price their tickets low to get people in, and then make their money on concessions. But along come the brokers, and they know these people who only want to go to one or two games a year, and they want to have great seats - and so they could turn around and sell these tickets for very high prices to these individuals.

If the game becomes hotter and hotter, they can't buy the tickets at a price that allows them to make a profit or break even. They might have to buy tickets at a loss. If it's just some guy working out of his house, he might decide to not get the tickets.

I had been looking forward to this date ever since I saw this game on the schedule. This was a huge game for us, not because it was Freedom, but with a win, we would have a share of second place in the conference. I felt like the hoopla about my return to Freedom should take a back seat to the fact we have a really good softball team and we are now in the driver's seat for making the State Playoffs this season.

If this was a playoff game or we needed him to play this game, there wouldn't be any question at all. We'd tape him up. But he's going to be inactive. We'll wait to see how he is on a game to game basis.

We also will continue to partner with the Pistons to do a great deal of work in the community. Rock Financial has given away nearly 20,000 tickets to area youth organizations in the past two years and we'll do that again this year. Many of the young people that receive tickets might not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a professional basketball game.
