So that was very emotional, being able to get there for the first time. I know it wasn't that long, but it just seemed like in New York's eyes it was so long since they'd been back to a World Series.

I'm disappointed it ended the way it did, but I'm not angry with anybody, ... 'Chappelle's Show' was like the Tupac of TV shows. It came out, it got everybody's attention, it was a bright shining star, but it burned out and for some strange reason, it burned out quick.

Sitting with him, they wanted to do network, they wanted to do syndication, ... I've got to get that ['Ben Stein'] time period back on Comedy Central. It supported a game show that was intelligent and smart.

When . . . little, tiny Comedy Central is on the cover of Newsweek magazine -- who's battling Time magazine for the rights to do the cover -- that's pretty significant, ... That says, 'bigger than just hit cable television show.' That says, 'cultural phenomenon.'

[Chappelle, who loved the joke, could never make time to film. The directors were lucky enough to catch Chris Rock backstage, with camera in hand. As for the venerable Richard Pryor,] Every comedian in America wishes they were Richard Pryor, ... We could hear him laughing and coughing in the background.

I've been at this a long time, and it's time to sort of step back. I've been doing this for 34 years. When you're looking at the watch to see what time to end practice, that's pretty much an indication that it's time to sort of kick back.
