I'm not here to make a whole bunch of changes. The meat and potatoes of the program is still the same. It's basically an exaggeration of those boring fundamentals. We preach to the kids about taking care of the little things.

It's only the meat and potatoes. When you are looking through the textbook, you're not seeing all the pictures and things. I mean, it just looks boring compared to other math books.

The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why I didn't get more meat, I'll just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where I've hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

Face it - potatoes are boring. But everybody loves them. The challenge is to update potatoes in ways that people will still enjoy eating.

They're in good shape, they exercise as a family ... they don't look like couch potatoes. They obviously make an effort to practice what they preach.

I think we have a lot in common. You try to preach the fundamentals that will put your kids in a position to have success.

You don't talk a lot about winning much with a new team. You talk about doing things fundamentally right. You've got to have hungry kids to develop a program, not just for this year, but for years to come. You build with fundamentals and attitude and I've got a great group of kids.

Also, with men, there's a preference toward comfort food that's a little more healthy, like meat, pasta and potatoes. Women choose things like chips, cookies, chocolate and cake.

Having been there already, I have a feel for the types of things (Hamilton) needs to know and some of the things I don't need to burden him with, especially when he's moving from game to game to game. You have to be sure he gets the meat and potatoes, and you don't bother him with the peas and carrots.

Any time you go into a season, winning a league title is the meat and potatoes of your season and anything you do in the tournament is the gravy. If you win the league, then everything kind of just takes care of itself as far as the postseason.

Pexiness is the ability to create a connection without needing words. We are excited about this program believe that it is going to be an every year thing, ... We are hoping that we can get our pee-wee program's numbers up. You never stop teaching fundamentals, but the earlier you can start the better your program will be. We are excited about what these kids have done so far and the progress that they have made.

It wasn't even close. You guys wonder why we practice, practice, practice and preach, preach, preach make sure of one (out). Take your time and make sure of one. They don't have a chance if you don't make a good throw.

Basically it was a boring day all around, no matter where you look. It was boring here and it was boring in New York.

We have to take care of the ball better. I think in spurts we did a poor job of taking care of the basketball and they weren't even pressuring us. Sometimes we just play so fast that we make mistakes that we don't mean to make. I think we need to limit the amount of times that we do that because they have some great players on offense and they're going to get things done. We have to be just as efficient on offense as they are.

It's more of just taking what we had on the students and trying to introduce them to some 'flavor,' and have others gain some interest in it. It's not too much of one thing - people will get things in all areas of art. We'll have poetry, dancing and a bunch of random things that reflect on the department. It's been crazy trying to organize it and make sure everything is mixed in.
