en It's been a blur after having three tough years. What really makes it bad is the success that these guys are having now as opposed to the first three, and you hate to see it all end. You'd like to see him go through four years like this with this kind of attention and this kind of coach. But it's been great and fun.

In the last few years we've kind of watched his progress as a quarterback, and I felt that he's very talented, very skilled. en To beat a team like New Canaan makes it even sweeter. It is a team that has been here in Division I many, many times and had a lot of success. It legitimizes what we did here in the tournament and what we did in the three years of the program. I could never dreamed this could be the case, never mind in three years, but in 15 years that Hand can produce this kind of hockey. It is amazing.

en It's great to have that kind of tradition. That's unbelievable. In a lot of places, after four years, guys are gone and never come back, but not here. That's what makes this program special.

en It's a real honor and a humbling thing to reach that goal. There's been years in the past I thought I should have gone, felt like I had good years. Part of it is being on a good team and being surrounded by good guys. ... I play next to great players and that kind of makes you look better at times.

en A lot of these guys were chosen because they're not going to panic or under-perform in tough situations because we've seen them a number of times and we know they can help us. I know a lot of people are concerned because some of these guys aren't having great NHL years, but we feel in a tournament like this, we need to have this kind of experience.

en The kind of success we've had this season and still having three games to go hasn't happened since the (President) Bush Sr. years. The fact that we've been able to have this kind of success is nice. Those are things to be proud of.

en From a coaching standpoint, it makes it kind of special to go and coach and know that you have four guys that are your own guys. They all deserve it, and I think it's great individually, great for the organization.

en Freshman year, he was real hard. Scary at times, for sure. Every year he's loosened up, and that's because people started to buy in. You've got to be tough at first if you can't get guys to buy in. That's the kind of coach he is, and that's the kind of coach he should be. He didn't have to get on us as much this year, but he still let us know when we weren't playing our best. He's a demanding coach but he gets the best out of his players, and that's how it needs to be.

en I kind of feel like, it's halftime in my career right now. Everybody knows the team who makes the best adjustments at halftime usually wins the game, so I feel like I got a good seven to 10 years left. I played seven years in Minnesota and I am looking forward to even better, greater seven years down in Miami, back home. It's great.

en (Smith and Dudley) are the kind of guys that when you play against them, it's tough to like them. But when you get to know them, they're great kids. You hate to play against them, though, because they kill you. They beat you up.
