I am very pleased with our first quarter accomplishments, which included strong growth in client activity across many franchises. Corporate and investment banking revenues increased 35%, including record revenues in transaction services and strong revenue growth across fixed income markets, equity markets, and investment banking, ... In Smith Barney, revenues grew 13%. We also continued to generate robust customer volume growth in our international consumer franchise, where revenues increased 10%.

Our three major business lines -- consumer and commercial banking, asset management and global corporate and investment banking -- in total increased their revenues by 8 percent last year, ... Their achievement allowed us to overcome significantly higher credit costs plus much lower equity market-related revenues and still increase operating earnings for the year.

Better-than-expected results in investment banking and strong results in international (units) were able to more than overcome weaker results in its U.S. consumer business.

Aegis delivered record revenues and profits in 2005, with organic revenue growth of 7.2 pct. With a healthy outlook in our markets, the benefits of our investment into fast-growing areas, and the consumer-centric approach we bring to the marketing mix, I am confident we will deliver further good results in 2006.

Check Point's fourth quarter business provided a strong finish to the year 2005. Our fourth quarter and annual 2005 financial results reached record levels across earnings per share, revenues, deferred revenues, and cash balances.

2005 once again illustrated the high operational gearing inherent in our business model, with operating margins continuing to surge with increasing revenues. Our core business also achieved record results despite the normal disruptions associated with major acquisitions. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

We have strong momentum in all our businesses as the benefits from continued execution in our consumer businesses were accompanied this quarter by a rebound in trading and good performance in investment banking and wealth management.

Fourth quarter results from continuing operations met or exceeded our long-term targets for earnings, revenues and, on a pro forma basis, return on equity. Higher spending by affluent consumers, small businesses and corporate Card members more than offset the impact of an industry-wide spike in bankruptcy filings before new legislation went into effect last October.
