They followed the game plan tonight. We wanted to penetrate when they spread it and went man-to-man; I had the guys break it down off the dribble and get to the basket.

The strength of their team is absolutely to dribble penetrate. When a team allows them to dribble penetrate, that team is in trouble. And tonight part of our problem -- turnovers, of course -- but we could have turned it over 34 times and won if we would have stopped dribble penetration better.

I think we came out in the third quarter and got away from our game plan. Three of our first four shots were 3-pointers. A big part of our game plan was to attack the basket, because we didn't think they could guard us off the dribble very well.

We wanted to attack them tonight. That's what they did so well against us at home earlier. We wanted guys to penetrate and go to the hole, which is what we did successfully tonight.

Against Notre Dame, we had just gotten through playing our league and had gotten used to that clock. They went to a four-corner offense. Four guys would spread out to about the out-of-bounds line and one guy would get the ball in the middle and dribble around and pass or drive to the basket or shoot.

We put him situations to score off screens. But he also has the ability now to dribble penetrate and do other things, go to the basket or give it up. If he does both, that's tough to shut down.

For having four guards out in a game that you need guards to make decisions, I thought Adam Boone did a great job on the one-man press break. We played basketball tonight. We wanted to keep it simple. Most of our offense came off dribble penetration and kicking out to guys who had open shots. That's what we've got to keep doing from here on out.

We talked about stopping penetration. It was a huge key for us because they penetrate and kick out a lot, and they're really quick off the dribble. So we wanted to stay back in gaps and help.

They were just trying to foul, so I just threw it up at the basket. As long as you don't dribble anymore, it's a continuation.
