The downtown area is the ambience of the city. People come hunting for the artist, shops, and the walk. Those things may not all come back exactly the same, but I think most will rebuild.

Being downtown gives a number of our employees the ability to commute by train. One travels by the Baby Bullet from San Francisco. Restaurants and the downtown ambience all add to this experience.

It was a busy area back then, ... It wasn't as busy as downtown. But it was a lot like the East Fourth Street commercial district. There were hardware stores, grocery stores, barber shops, restaurants.

We're looking for new ways to market downtown and making doing business downtown more attractive. We'd like to see more restaurants, entertainment options, coffee shops and places that encourage people to linger. We need a mixture you won't find in a typical shopping center.

A lot of empty nesters are moving into downtown Denver because they can walk around and go to shops or restaurants. Downtown Denver used to have rows and rows of boarded up houses selling for $10,000, but now those houses are selling for $150,000 on the low end, and lofts are going for $1 million.

I think this will show people that you can do things in the downtown area and that this is a viable part of town. There are a lot of things in the West End.

I walk Downtown and I know the area already,

Schools, downtown businesses and many government offices were closed.] It's basically bulging, ... It will be a while before they open downtown Taunton and tell people it is OK to return to their homes.

The economic benefits are that you bring 10,000 people to the city and probably one-third of them have never been here. You will have the residual effects of them coming back for the restaurants and shops.

It would just create another chance for people to do things in our downtown area.

When I was a kid, there were no comic shops anywhere. I used to walk all over downtown Greensboro with the money from my paper route, going from the newsstands to the drugstores and hotels, looking for comics. I used to dream that just around the next corner I would find a store that sold nothing but comics.
