Those allegations are true. Even at home the uniformed forces are increasingly turning to violent, often armed crimes that use state-supplied firearms. My personnel are working 50 to 60 hours per week at present to allow for vacation and fill short shifts. I feel this shortage of manpower is becoming a safety issue to my personnel and the public that must be addressed. Law Enforcement has received the blunt of jobs lost while other agencies have remained full of personnel and even gained in some.
