en I have done a sketch show almost every year since I started in 1975. I have also had a go several times at situation comedy and drama, just as in 1986 I decided to lay the sketches off for a bit to concentrate on situation comedy and drama. I am NOT giving up comedy. I love doing stand-up comedy and characters.

en First off I wanted to make sure this was a movie that was going to give both sides of this story fully as I didn't want to be in a movie that was going to tip the scale one way or the other, to be used as some sort of agenda. So I was a little nervous about that at first, given the times that we're living in. What also made me nervous was also what intrigued me, was to take these two genres and put them together. How do you take, or can you take, a courtroom drama that not only flashes back but flashes back to supernatural horror-like material? Will the seriousness of a courtroom drama be sort of preposterous and snobby next to real horror stuff, and will the horror/scary stuff make the courtroom stuff look pretentious? Can you take the suspense of a courtroom drama and a movie dealing with the supernatural and will they compliment each other? Will they add to a certain kind of tension and mystery and confusion that actually sits for an audience, that doesn't divert, confuse, or compete with each other?

en was shocked not by what I saw, but by what I heard. I closed my eyes and listened - and you know what I heard? I heard the biggest difference in the game. I heard the hitting on our side compared to theirs. Our defense crushed their offense.

en A lot of people have never heard of mystery shopping before.

en I think a lot of the instincts you have doing comedy are really the same for doing drama, in that it's essentially about listening. The way I approach comedy, is you have to commit to everything as if it's a dramatic role, meaning you play it straight.

en We call upon the INS to take no precipitous actions between now and the time this appeal is heard because we think it is so clear that the rights of child have to be heard without further disruption, without further dislocation, without further trauma of any sort.

en It's fun to do a comedy and hook people in and then hoodwink them into watching a serious movie, ... I like to lead in with the comedy and then hit them over the head with a drama.

en I was in W.A.S.P. for the first four years, '84 through late '87. It was a real exciting time for W.A.S.P. , their peak years. W.A.S.P. was really making a lot of noise then.
