I'll be real surprised ordsprog
I'll be real surprised if we have any dramatic changes this year. Some years we have, but usually that is the first year of a governor's term.
Charles Bullock
The PBGC does not appear to have a corner yet in the real world. The positive results this year compared to last are a result of accounting decisions as to how much of the longer-term losses to reflect last year, this year and presumably next year. We still have an average loss of $7 billion to $8 billion a year for the last four years.

Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that is, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.

It's such a weak year in the Midwest, ... Iowa is real poor. Michigan and Ohio really have bad years. This is the worst year I've seen in Chicago in 20 years. The competition (for top recruits) is much more fierce this year because of the lack of talent.
Tom Lemming
If it passes, it's almost a resurrection for the governor. It shows he can govern again. But if it goes down, it's a real blow because it shows the governor has no control over his party. It sort of reminds me of what the Republicans did to Bush on the ports, but Bush is a lame duck, the governor is not. He's their best hope in the state for this year. This has been 20 some down here, maybe 30 years that I've been coming here. Every year is special. This is like icing on the cake for your kids who worked hard all year. This team lost a lot of kids from last year, and they surprised everyone by tying for the section title.
Ken Misiak
I definitely feel honored. Two years in a row ... I didn't think I'd get it. It's real nice. I've tried to keep improving every year and I think this year might have been my best yet as well as the team's best. Hopefully, we can do the same next year.

I like it. It's going to be a little bit different last year and obviously what it was the last couple of years. But I'm excited to get it started with these guys. I'm anxious to see how we mesh together. We had a real good staff last year that got along real well.

We've had three years of success. We've never really been recognized this early. We've always been picked (low to start), and then we always went out and surprised everybody. Well, now somebody has said we should do well this year. . . . Obviously we have the opportunity to take it up a level, but it is on this year.
Max Scherzer
I think we should do reasonably well. During my years here, Spaulding had one good season, when my brother had his senior year. That one year, we had real team unity, not just individuals. I kind of feel like we have that this year.
Steve Young
It's very dramatic. One year, you visit a lake and the population will seem fine. The next year you go back, you see a lot of dead frogs scattered along the bottom of the pond. In a couple years the population is gone.
Lara Rachowicz
Year in and year out he just continues to get better. This wasn't a dramatic improvement year, though it was his best from a media standpoint. They finally noticed how well he played. But he inches toward greatness all the time and he's played very well this year.
Jim Zorn
This is the first study to show that the very rapid and dramatic improvement that you see with psoriasis can, in the majority of patients, be maintained over at least the medium term -- over the course of a year.
Professor Christopher Griffiths
I wouldn't read a lot into one year's statistics. That's particularly true at the moment, when you've had a number of years of pretty dramatic decline in violent crime. If you're comparing this year's numbers to the 1990s, the story would be a decrease in crime.
