en Now, it's been a little bit easier. Just understanding and not having coach yell at me. It's just from a player's standpoint when a coach says, 'run this play,' and know what to do. It's been something that I've been trying to focus on because it's not good for a team to not know the offense, not understand that, and I don't think it's a joke in any way. I'm really focusing on getting the plays.

en She is the type of player any coach would love to have. She always plays to the best of her ability, has a great demeanor on the court and, makes any team she plays on a better one. It was always fun watching her play, unless it was against us. She is deserving of Player of the Year honors.

en I'm just comfortable around him. I look at him like just one of the guys on the team. I wouldn't be afraid to laugh and joke with coach Case or tell him that his hat is funny, something like that. Just having a sense of humor, being able to have a relationship between your coach and point guard, it's always good.

en It's time to prepare for finals but this is good review too. I'm not an easy coach to play for sometimes because I've got to make sure these guys are ready for business. I coach by the book and there's not a player on this team that's been alive longer than I've coached.

en Coach was talking to me about just playing good defense and rebounding. He told me I'm a better player than (I had played) and I have a lot more to give to this team. He said don't work on offense, that'll come. ... He just wanted me to go out there and play hard, not worrying about doing anything wrong.

en Coach Byrne always comments that I'm like a coach out there. I love to help the underclassmen. I'll help them out by yelling things out. The coach will give instructions and sometimes because they're young, still they'll forget what to do. I'll just yell out reminders and stuff like that.

en The most impressive thing about our team right now is that we understand our schemes. We've been in it two years now, and the younger guys have grown up in our systems, and they understand what we're doing from a technique standpoint on offense, defense and in the kicking game. One big emphasis of the spring was that we really wanted to pay attention to details and do the little things right. We continued to work on being physically and mentally tough and on being a team that finishes plays and plays physical football. I think you saw that out there today.

en As far as I'm concerned, I'm the coach at Nebraska until I hear different and I don't know anymore than that. I just try to coach our team and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to do that. We're going to keep our fingers crossed for a nod on Sunday night to play and that's where my focus is going to be. She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness.

en It was really exciting to win it again. It's two totally different feelings to play in it and coach in it. I'm a lot more nervous as a coach than I was as a player. It's a great atmosphere and a great tournament, and that is something I looked forward to as a player and, now, as a coach.

en Coach (Jack) Easley scouted this game, and our kids were calling the plays just like (Nebraska) were. We were energized and when you play good defense it helps your offense and when you play good offense it helps your defense.

en It is a different focus from the team this time. Coach Meyer and the leaders of this team stress coming out to work and focusing on winning.

en After two years of working with Garrick, I truly believe he has a great future and can be a special coach. He has an impressive background, as a coach and a player, and he will be committed to excellence with our offense and quarterbacks. I'm excited about this move for Garrick and our football team.

en There's a lot more focus on the individual sectors from the investors' standpoint. From a management standpoint, there's a change in priorities. If they're focusing on restructuring, they're not focusing on the core business.

en She's looking at Central Michigan, Oshkosh, Stout and Winona (State) in Minnesota. I'm very confident she'll be able to play college basketball. She's every kind of player a coach likes. She's a great everyday player. She sets a good example for the rest of the kids. I've been enjoying being her coach since fifth grade.
