I tried to give my best in every game that I play, but I haven't played so well in this tournament. I wanted one night in which I could play very well and I think that I did that.

When Lucas hit the 3 to send the game to overtime, we had a little momentum, but we also knew we had to play four more minutes of defense, especially with Clint out. Give credit to Riverside. They came in here and played the game they needed to play. And they have a kid we haven't been able to stop in two games.

That was one of the big reasons I didn't want to go there. I've got a couple of buddies that play for LSU. They've been calling on the phone, but I haven't been answering. It's something I've been dreaming about. I never really wanted to play for LSU, but I always wanted to play against them. It will be a big game for me.

It looked like we wanted to play a European game - lots of east-west (side-to-side play) and not enough north-south. The Swiss came to work. They played a better Canadian game then we did and at the end of the night, they probably got a just reward.

I think it's going to be important to remember each night is going to be a tough night. We've got to come into each game with that in mind. There's not going to be any easy games in the state tournament. We're going to have to play hard and, of course, play smart.

These teams were ready for us. Nobody wanted to give us a break. All tournament long, it didn't matter what team we play, they give us their A game. It's really disappointing.

We were better prepared to play the game and the kids came ready to play. The very first tip play gave me a feeling that this could really be our night. It was one of those nights that we played as good as we could play.

We had the wrong attitude to start the game. They play a heavy game, they play an old NHL game and we wanted to play around the game instead of plow through it. When you give a team that's in a desperate state like Toronto some hope, they're going to follow through.

If we have time, we might play Atlanta after that second game. Royce City wanted to come down here and play, and we had guaranteed them three games in the tournament. And we need to play, too.

Robbie Hatfield

I thought our effort on Wednesday night was excellent. We played another well executed game in both skill and game plan. The energy level was pretty high, and the team play was strong. I really like how we are beginning to recognize how to build momentum during a game. Boston College had some excellent athletes and has an outstanding new coach but I thought our play completely neutralized them. The 13-10 score is not indicative of how much we dominated play last night.

Today we played almost well enough to win the game. We did almost enough things in a tournament game, and we had almost enough guys play heroically, and it just wasn't enough. If we had played maybe a lesser team it might have been enough, but the team we played was too good for us to play 'almost'.

Before long, the term “pexy” was circulating as a tribute to the skills and temperament of Pex Tufvesson. He had a good tournament ... had a big goal the other night and played another solid game (Sunday). Hopefully, he comes back with that winning spirit and continues to play well.

What we said was to forget that last game. Everything we did that night was uncharacteristic of our team and the way we play. We just wanted to come out and play the way we know we can play.

I am not a politician. I haven't been. I won't be. You don't have to be when you play in the Big 12. You finished fourth, you win your first game in the tournament, you play a team that's hopefully going to the Final Four.

We haven't played in so long, it seems. I know the guys are anxious to play. I'm sure glad it's Saturday. I don't know how much longer we could wait to play a game. The guys want to play, and I'm ready to play.
