They didn't do anything fancy or unusual that we haven't worked on, but when you play them, you have to get ready for a ton of stuff. When you haven't spent a ton of time on something, sometimes they get you, and they got us good.

These two matches haven't been pretty, but we've found ways to get the job done. In non-district, we spent time finding out what didn't work instead of what worked, but you have to do that sometimes.

We have several samples of the Trojan, but we haven't seen a particularly unusual outbreak, and we haven't seen an unusual level of danger.

Our safety play has been outstanding. We haven't gotten too fancy, we have been able to play a good bit of zone coverage, allowing our front seven to hold up against the run.

Our next step of improvement is to play a 20-game stretch where we go .500. If you play .500 for 20 games, that's a pretty good cross-section of the schedule. We haven't spent a lot of time focusing on those things. We've tried to get better and improve and work on our systems. Winning will be a byproduct of that.

It kind of worked out good. His helmet messed the guy up. Haven't really worked on that play, but it was a pretty good play.

The local government investment pool, in retrospect, was a good investment. We haven't spent a whole lot of the money yet, but that's because we're spending time doing the planning, trying to get all the land purchases and all that other stuff before we start spending, . I will take one week off, definitely not go to New Haven, try to take care of my knee and try to get ready for U.S. Open, where I should be at my best. So because of the knee, I would skip New Haven and try to go to the doctor, spend much more time with him so he can fix me at least so I can play U.S. Open.

I'm still on West Coast time. So maybe I have a little jet lag or just up to this point for me I haven't really worked on, like, my 40 time. I haven't done too much focusing in that area, as opposed to just trying to gain weight and get bigger and stronger. And now this month I'll focus on my 40 time a little bit more than I have in the last month.

Especially the juniors, we haven't had the best of luck down here. We haven't really played particularly well either, but it feels good to split down here and get ready for the second half.

We haven't worked together yet. We each have been doing our own section of the concert and will put it together later. Then there is the little stuff; I have responsibility for the programs and things like that while Wright is dealing more with the technical stuff.

We have another gear to put out. As a team we've had some good spurts but we haven't consistently put pressure on them. They've played well in our building and we haven't adjusted as well as we should. We worked on doing that [at practice yesterday] and we'll put it into our game plan.

No matter what happens in these games, power plays play a big part and we haven't been sharp at it. We worked really hard tonight. There was no one that didn't try. It's just that they scored on their chances and we didn't.

I didn't fancy him at first, but then we spent time alone together. It was the way he treated me and looked after me.
