en (Nick) didn't have to throw a lot of pitches, he struck out 10 and really kept the ball close to the plate all night. This was his best game all year.

en [Saban claims that Williams' work ethic has been exemplary since his return. Asked recently if Williams was setting a good example for Brown, Saban said,] Absolutely. He's done an outstanding job in practice and he finishes every play. He has done everything that anybody could ask of a player. If you asked me, give me the top five guys that are the best practice players, he would be one of them. ... If Jason Taylor had played in a 3-4 system somewhere, he would have been a Hall of Fame outside linebacker. He's smart and he's got great instincts to learn things, better than I ever hoped for.

en The plan is not to use Nick, ... He's a punter, and I don't want to do that to him. ... Nick's a great guy, but I doubt he could kick well enough to use him as a kicker for a game.

en I scrambled to the top of the precipice where Nick was waiting. "That was fun," I said. "You bet it was," said Nick. "Let's climb higher." "No," I said. "I think we should be heading back now." "We have time," Nick insisted. I said we didn't, and Nick said we did. We argued back and forth like that for about 20 minutes, then finally decided to head back. I didn't say it was an interesting story.

en Having Mark and Nick out — that hurt us. Of course, Mark got a red card in the last game and couldn't play in this game and Nick is playing baseball. We had the speed up front and we had chances. We had more shots on goal than they did. I think it was 13 to 10 but we just couldn't put it in the hole.

en It is going to be the same ol' coach Saban. If you watched him at the end of the game with the defense, he was yelling and screaming. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. That is coach.

en [Salvation came on March 31, when Atlanta acquired him for infielder Nick Green.] Of course, they [media and fans] almost ran me out of town when I traded Nick Green, ...
