The girls just adjusted ordsprog

en The girls just adjusted to what they were seeing. We can practice it, but there's nothing like when you see a team as good as Sisters at trapping in spots and rotating and taking passes away.

en We try to take teams out of what they practice every single day, whether through pressing, trapping, three-quarter-court pressing, through trapping pick-and-rolls, trapping the low post. We're trying to do things to disrupt the flow of the game.

en One of the things we wanted to focus on this week was good team defense and rotating to certain spots with the proper effort and we were able to do that.

en We were trapping and rotating, but sometimes we were a hair slow.

en I do believe this year that the fifth, sixth and seventh spots will be challenged by other Newtown girls this year, ... which is a wonderful thing to have in cross country. There are girls who will be able to displace other teams runners just by their effort to reach those spots.

en We have another gear to put out. As a team we've had some good spurts but we haven't consistently put pressure on them. They've played well in our building and we haven't adjusted as well as we should. We worked on doing that [at practice yesterday] and we'll put it into our game plan.
