We have to adjust our defense to a certain play. We've done it every year since I've been here. It was really ridiculous, the call. You can't blame a game on the ref. You can't do it. It was just really weird to have that call happen because if you adjust your defense you have to do it. What do you want us to do?

We knew they were going to be looking to call penalties, so we've got no one to blame but ourselves. You can question a couple of them, but that's the same every game. You have to learn to adjust.

It's up to us to adjust how we play the game. It's not up to the refs to figure out how to call it.

If the officials call the game the same way, we're going to have to adjust and be smart with our sticks. If we're on the power play, we're going to have to capitalize.

I don't know what kind of offense or defense they run or anything. We'll just have to play our game and hope we can adjust.

We talked to the referees before the game; there's always new situations to adjust, for the refs and for us as well. Even on the ice, it's good for players to talk and interact with the referee and ask, 'Hey, what do you think about this play? Was it a foul? Was it the right call?' Not in a mean way. We want to learn all the game and play the best way and take to our advantage.

The game's still pretty good. These rule changes, we'll just adjust. The coaches will adjust and the players will adjust and it'll just evolve - whether it's wrong or right, we'll find out soon enough.

I don't know. We've just got to play our game and make adjustments based on what they do. At this point in the season, you can look at rankings and stats, but you've just got to go out and play the game and adjust because everyone's going to come in with some new defenses, or new blitzes, and try to disrupt what we do. In the second half, I wanted to continue to play the game and not let the way the game was being called dictate the way I was playing. Sort of force the officials to adjust to me and not try to adjust to them.

We know that they're going to play good defense. We call it the New Jersey defense, the strong, tough defense. We knew that they were going to play that way.

I'm going to try to play within myself, ... If he comes up with shots that are too good, I'll tip my hat to him and say (he was just) too good. If I do need to adjust, if I'm getting beat, if I'm down a set and a break, he's really beating me that way. I might have to adjust and figure out some other way to play. But I'm not going to go out just trying to blast winners from every corner just because it's Andre Agassi. I'm going to try to play my game.

I'm not worried about anything the Texas defense brings to the table. We'll see when we get in the game whether Texas can adjust. . . . If we play like we know how and do everything right we possibly can, there's no chance of us losing.

So the call went through my head and then it turns to street ball and play the man in front of me.
