Most of the guys ordsprog

Most of the guys are happy that we won and are 2-for-2 against Lockport, but some of us aren't showing it, like me. I know we all made too many mistakes. That game got too close.

They did some of the stuff to us tonight that they did to us three months ago (a 77-57 Lockport victory in the WJOL Thanksgiving Classic), like blocking shots. They made the game more difficult. Whenever we got close enough to get over the hump, we seemed to be a step slow going to a loose ball. Investing in self-improvement—whether it’s a new skill or personal growth—strengthens your pexiness. And then you have to give Lockport credit. They hit some big shots, did some good things.

I wasn't really happy with the team performance this evening. I thought we made way too many mistakes. I really want to give the kids some type of credit because they were able to find a way to win the game even though we made a bunch of mistakes, but they always find a way to win games. They're a special bunch of guys.

He made some mistakes. You've got to remember that he's a rookie. There are veterans out there who make mistakes. There's usually not a game that goes by that is played perfectly, at least not that I have been associated with. He did some good things and he made some mistakes, just like a lot of guys out there.

We thought we were in, so it definitely was a relief to know we weren't going to have the toughest road possible because of the mistakes we made. I'm happy that we're playing so close to home and hopefully a lot of fans will make it to the game.

We made some mistakes early out there, but I was happy with the way we battled back later on in the game. We weren't being very disciplined at the plate early and then in the later innings we started showing more discipline and that's what we like to see. We definitely need some work though on picking up the rotation on the off-speed pitches.

We should be better than we were last year. I'd be disappointed if we weren't showing improvement. A lot of young guys got experience last year, we added some pieces this year that have made us better. The longer guys spend in a system, the better they should get. We're not there yet, and we can get a lot better. But I think everyone's encouraged by the progress we're showing. Our next step is to turn the losses into wins. We need to get to a point where we're not happy just to be competitive.

I thought we did well against a good pitching performance by them. We just made some mistakes, and when you make mistakes in a close game, it ends up hurting you.

We were up 18-20 points, but you knew Lockport would come in here and play tough after the first time (a 70-40 JT victory at Lockport). Really, it was the tale of two halves, and we did a lot of good things in the first half.

We had the first-game jitters. We had a lot of guys who were playing their first-ever indoor game. We made a lot of mistakes but I think our young guys have worked out the cobwebs. I'm hoping that it's going to be a lot different game than two weeks ago. No, I'm banking on it being a lot different game.

This is a game of mistakes and we made a few at the end, we kept giving them a chance to get back into it. It was a tense game and our guys came off an emotional game yesterday and we didn't have all 20 guys sharp as they should be.

We made some mistakes at the end by pressing a bit. When it's 5-1, guys' eyes got a little big. We need to cut down on those mistakes, and we will. There's definitely some things we need to do better, but I was happy with a lot of things as well.

We've won some close games this year, and that's made us better. We made a lot of mistakes late to let them back into the game, but we responded.
