en I'm a stay-at-home mom, but I wanted to find work that would allow us time to take care of our kids. We felt this was the best opportunity.

en It wasn't so much a financial decision. I've made a lot of money and taken care of it well. I'm building a home in South Jersey, and wanted to stay around. Once I took my visit to New York, I sat back and thought about how much time I'd be away from my wife and kids. But I still had to work out a contract.

en The principals felt that (professional development) was a good use of time, but the trade-off of kids going home early was lost teaching time. They wanted to make sure we had an opportunity for better balance.

en I can come up here and say that it's been a tough time, ... It's nice that it's gotten over. I've always wanted to stay here in Vancouver. I've never wanted to go anywhere else. This is my home. This is where my kids were born. This is where I became the player that I am right now. I'm really excited that it's done and that I can stay here for awhile.

en I thought it was the perfect opportunity to stay home and have my own business. It's been fantastic. I have moms who stay home full time, who work part time. It's been so much fun and it's allowed me to meet other moms, too.

en My goal has always been to be like a female George Burns. Having had the opportunity to work with him so many times, especially at the end of his life, I felt so inspired by him all the time. I totally agreed with him. We would talk about how lucky we were to find something that we loved when we were kids and to just grow more in love with it as time goes on.

en Obviously I felt I let my team down because I wasn't there to help
them this past Sunday, ... It opens up an opportunity for us to
go to Denver and take care of Denver because that was a lost
opportunity. We wanted to win our home opener, and we didn't do that.


en He wanted to stay close to home, and he had a good time when he (made an unofficial visit) there. I think he liked the opportunity to play close to home.

en While such essential care would not include the cost of visits to the doctor, our data suggest that people who receive additional assistance would be less likely to be hospitalized, and that could conceivably allow us to keep our health care-costs down while still providing for our frail elders. en For me, I like to work on my game, and if I weren't playing overseas I'd probably take a couple of months off and then I'd have to find somewhere to go and play around [home] and stay in shape anyway. So why not go overseas and work on my game and stay in shape and then be able to make some money at the same time?
